The Magic Formula to Conquer Your Fear

I've written and erased today's post more times than I care to admit. When worry is left unchallenged it drives a deep seeded fear. Destroying our ability to concentrate. I'm writing for thirty consecutive days because it scares the shit out of me. I desire to write and feel confident that my content provides value. We learn by doing. And to become a meaningful writer you need to write. Not when the mood strikes or because you haven't written in a while. But because learning is an active process. Want to know how to master the ability to never improve? Let it drown your thoughts,  paralyzing you with fear. That ensures you do fuck all about it.

I could hit publish and the internet decides this is the worst post ever written. Making tomorrow nothing but rainbows and sprinkles. I'd have everything to gain and nothing to lose. I can only dream of writing the worst piece of literature on the internet. Damn it, there's that incessant worrying again.

Accept the worst if you have to and grind your ass until you improve. Worry may as well be a tick lodged in your mind. Burrowed deep into the recesses of regret. Chomp, chomp, chomp. Stuffing its face with a fear sandwich.

Face the facts: Quit worrying then do something about it.

Willis H Carrier was the man with the magic formula. I finished this post because I acted on his words.

  1. Ask yourself, "What is the worst that can possibly happen if I can't solve my problem?"

  2. Prepare yourself mentally to accept the worst - if necessary.

  3. Then calmly try to improve upon the worst - which you have already mentally agreed to accept.
