Satisfaction Never Tasted So Damn Good.
I have a habit of taking on too much. My great ideas don't organically blossom because good ideas flood my garden. My Evernote Notebooks are bursting with unbelievable resources, curated with content in mind. Yet they sit idle, waiting to be picked at, begging to fill the pages of Simplify My Why.
Thinking of the next big thing robs the present of your gift. That's the only moment you can manipulate to your liking. If you're not living for now, when are you living for? The past is dead and gone. The future is only a possibility. It carries no certainty. Don't put off to tomorrow for what can be done today.
Spread yourself thin and run the risk of living a life of could of, should of, would of, if only... Let others worry of regrets. Stuck in the past or lost in their tomorrows. Create something incredible with the borrowed time you have.
What Warren Buffet Taught Me About Setting Goals is an eye-opener. It gives me the ability to laser focus when I'm struggling to make a decision. The clarity it brings allows me to focus on my great ideas, creating the biggest impact.
I'm writing a blog post for 30 consecutive days. It's my most important task of the day. If it was the only thing I did today, I'd be satisfied. I hold myself to only four other tasks in the day. Walking. Meditating. Working out. Writing in my Productivity Planner.
I work full time so I designed my day to maximize down time. Complete those 5 things and I can do whatever I please. Guilt? Not the slightest. It's a life of intention.
If you had to choose one thing to do each day, what would it be?
I challenge you to create. Put something into the world. Choose something that doesn't involve consuming. Share your idea in the comments or shoot me an e-mail for brainstorming ideas chris@simplifyyourwhy.com
