Simplify Your Why

People like us believe we get to create our lives each moment.

I check the bulk of my e-mail once a week. I'm slowly unsubscribing from all the noise. Except for two. The Daily Stoic and Seth Godin's riffs on marketing, respect, and the way ideas spread. Seth has 18 best sellers. This man ships. He invented permission marketing. His words sting with a ferocious bite. Seth writes every day. A remarkable feat considering his posts start in 2002. He doesn't talk about what a good man should be, he is one.

He's a visionary with the sole mission of empowering us to ask what change do you want to make? He observes the world in ways that borrow from a deeply empathetic lens. What's keeping you from shipping? Worry and fear. They stifle our ability to create and fill the world with the change we seek to make. His validation fills you with hope to move forward.

Do what you are meant to do, not what you have to do. Every step forward is a chance to unleash purpose in every damn thing you do. Set aside what makes you miserable. Your life is a mere blip in human existence. Marcus Aurelius skins this thought to the bone, "I have to work - as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I'm going to do what I was born for - the things I was brought into this world to do? Or is that what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?"

Every moment gives you the opportunity to be who you want to be.

What change do you want to make? And for who? I want to hear. Leave a comment or shoot me an e-mail chris@simplifyyourwhy.com
